The Father sent Jesus to reverse the disconnection that happened in the Garden of Eden. Without connection to God, real life cannot not exist. Many come to Jesus for salvation, yet don’t know how to advance past the bondage of the wounds and lies of the enemy that disconnect them from the love of Jesus and their heavenly identity causing them to live in and out of cycles of self-protection, self-medication and self-promotion
Jesus’ mission
Jesus’ mission is to free us from all bondage and into connection as described in Isaiah 61:1.
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners; to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to grant those who mourn in Zion, giving them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. —Isaiah 61:1-2
How its done
Our prayer ministers lead you through 2 hour Holy Spirit directed and empowered prayer where God brings healing and deliverance from the bondage of soul wounds, lies, and demonic attachments and intimately connect you to the Trinity. During this time your true identity will be clarified and gifts, destiny and call will be identified and activated. This clarity and connection will set you free from bondage to false-identities and the approval of others. Clearly hearing from God through thoughts and visions and physical healing many times are the additional results. Your one spirit union with Jesus will be heightened as the foundation that connects you with God and your true self.

Ray Sturdivant: President and Founder
Ray is the president and founder of Mining the Truth, established in 2009 is an ordained pastor, teacher, prayer minister, author, and trainer. He trains and equips others in prophetic healing, prophecy and end times understanding. He has been following Jesus since 1983 with the last 12 years being the most intense and productive of his life. It is during that time that he had an encounter with Holy Spirit that radically changed the trajectory of his life. Prophetic Healing prayer is a direct result of this fruitful time. Thousands of people living lives of spiritual freedom, deeply connected to Jesus has been the result. In addition to leading Mining the Truth, Ray also serves as board member of Christ’s Reward.
Cherry Brady: Prayer Minister
Cherry was called into prayer ministry full time in 2015. She has passionately partnered in both assisting and leading prophetic healing with hundreds of people. Her own journey into spiritual healing through freedom prayer is the reason her passion runs so deep to see others experience the freedom and deep connection with Jesus that she now lives out of.
Lisa Lydens: Prayer Minister
Lisa has been on her own freedom journey with prophetic healing and deliverance since 2019. She is a single mom and Registered nurse now called to be a spiritual nurse, mom, and sister to others who desire to experience freedom and a closer walk with the Lord.
Lisa has experienced dramatic healing and deliverance from the effects of her former life that had drug abuse, trauma, homelessness and many other issues. Her history brings a sensitivity and understanding to those with similar issues.
Mark Huffman: Prayer Minister
Mark retired in 2016, after 30 years of service as a Fire Captain with a city near Dallas, Texas. He spent his career responding to help the people of his community. The last 10 years of his career as an arson investigator (little did he know God was preparing him for what He was leading him into). After retirement, Mark and his wife ,Sandy, (his high school sweetheart of 42 yrs) attended 3 years of Bible College in Colorado. They returned to Texas after graduating. Holy Spirit led them to restore a little church in their town. They serve by delivering “meals-on-wheels” twice a week. and volunteer at the Bible College local extension school as coaches for the students. Mark loves partnering With Sweet Holy Spirit to see people set free from their past and mindsets. My prayer for you is to experience Ephesians 3:20!
Mary Earl: Prayer Minister
Mary is a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and for a very long time she thought she was a “Martha” – only loved and valued because of what she could bring to the table. It wasn’t until she began her prophetic healing journey with Mining the Truth in August 2020 that she started to discover that despite having a “Mary” heart, her Martha gifting had been perverted by the enemy. Now, having experienced many healing encounters with Jesus, and having trained as an intern with the ministry, Mary is equipped to help you and your children learn how to beat the devil with his own stick. She passionately believes that through Spirit led encounters with Jesus, children can learn to hear His voice, discern the enemy’s lies, and live in the freedom Jesus has already provided.
Chrysty Sturdivant: Children’s Prayer Minister
Chrysty spent over 40 years as an Occupational Therapist in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Her role as a neonatal therapist taught her how to connect the smallest of humans with their mothers and fathers. In the NICU, she caught the compassion of Jesus for the little children and witnessed many miracles as she prayed for the most vulnerable of babies. Her Jesus inspired compassion for children and their families has translated into an amazing anointing in leading children 12 years old and younger into spiritual freedom through intimate connection with Jesus. After all it is Jesus who tells us to bring the little children to Him so that He can bless them and heal them. Chrysty believes it is the call of all parents to partner with Jesus in leading their families. Chrysty is married to Ray Sturdivant and they have three children and eight grandchildren.
Stacy Graves: Operations Manager
Stacy serves as the scheduling manager and admin to the entire Mining The Truth team. Stacy grew up in California and Colorado and then met her husband in 2000 and moved to Texas in 2003. She became a believer of Jesus in 2004 and answered the calling He had on her life from then on. She has been a stay-at-home mom for the last 15 years where she sharpened her skills at balancing schedules and timelines. She joined the ministry in 2019 where she has continually utilized those skills to help keep the entire team organized. Stacy enjoys her family, worship, shopping and of course organization.
Misty Marascalco: Prayer Minister
Misty has worked in Children’s and Jr High Ministries for the last 15 years. She and her husband, Bryan, currently serve as the Jr High Pastors at their church in Pearl, MS. Misty began her journey to becoming a prayer minister in inner healing and deliverance after she had a radical encounter with Jesus at one of the Mining the Truth Basic Training sessions in January of 2023.
She is passionate about helping others encounter Jesus by discovering their identity in Him. She is a Gate Breaker born to help others break gates and take back ground the enemy has stolen.
Misty is also the author of her new book “Journey to Seeing.”
Sandy Huffman: Intercessor
Sandy has been married to her husband, Mark, for 42 years. They had many years of disconnection and brokenness. In 2015, frustrated and embittered, ready to quit, they found help and began their healing journey, which led them to this ministry of Mining the Truth. Sandy likes to say Jesus has given us a golden ticket through inner healing to find our voices and discover our true identities. She is passionate to reconnect with Jesus and discover the Father’s original intention and design for herself and others. She functions as leading a team of intercessors.
